With a variety of fish species waiting to be caught, Reel Retreat offers the perfect spot for anglers of all experience levels. Whether you're casting from our private dock or exploring the deeper waters of the Neuse River by boat, you’re sure to have an unforgettable fishing experience.

FLOUNDER

Known for their delicious, mild flavor, flounders are a favorite catch in our waters. Fish for them along the sandy bottoms and in shallow estuaries.

REDFISH (RED DRUM)

These prized game fish are often found near the docks and estuaries. With their vibrant color and spirited fight, they offer an exciting challenge for anglers.

SPECKLED TROUT

​Famous for their spots and tasty flesh, speckled trout are prevalent in the area. Look for them in the warmer months, especially around grassy areas and shallow waters.

PRIVATE DOCK

Our 100-foot private dock is designed for both relaxation and recreation. With approximately 4 feet of water depth at the end, it’s an ideal spot for fishing or simply enjoying the serene water views. The dock is lighted for evening use, ensuring safety and convenience while you unwind under the stars.

We also have a 8,000-lb boat lift that can accommodate boats up to 24 feet, making it easy for you to store your vessel securely during your stay. This feature is perfect for families and fishing enthusiasts looking to maximize their time on the water without the hassle of launching and retrieving their boats each day.
